Airbrake Endorsement Course*
Purpose
To enhance driver knowledge and understanding of air braking systems and regulations and to assist drivers in their day to day operations in respect to air brakes and components. Also to assist a company in developing long-term driver improvement strategies.
Airbrake Adjustment Course*
Purpose
This one-day course covers the laws, regulations and correct procedures for checking and performing air brake adjustments.
Hours of Work*
Purpose
Fatigue is a proven safety hazard for commercial drivers, and violating regulated limits can have serious consequences for a carrier's operating record, profitability and road safety in general. As hours of work legislation affects many areas of a commercial fleet's operations; drivers, supervisors, dispatchers, trainers and other safety personnel must have a through understanding of duty cycles and limits. This 4 hours intensive course focuses on how to achieve and monitor driver and carrier compliance with hours of work legislation. Topics will include provincial and federal laws; logs and time sheets; duty cycles; record keeping; driver and carrier responsibilities; and monitoring daily logs.
Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC)*
Purpose
Emphasis on defensive driving skill related to the commercial vehicle. Conduct a PDIC for company personnel and elevate driver's awareness of the driving-related tasks through facilitated discussions.
Also to assist a company in developing long term driver improvements strategies.
School Bus Driver Improvement Course*
Purpose
In this course, the principles of defensive driving with relation to the commercial driver are covered. Drivers who already hold a school bus driver’s licence are not affected by this initiative, though the ministry encourages them, or their employers to consider refresh training.
Forklift*
Purpose
This theoretical course is designed for certificate renewal and individuals with limited or no previous experience on lift trucks.
D.D.C. Defensive Driving Course*
Purpose
D.D.C. - Defensive Driving Course has been designed to help people become better and safer drivers.
